What is the best way to open the hinged Binding Rings?
The rings can be unlocked by applying light pressure to the side (scissor movement) against the direction of closure and then simply opening them. To close, press the two ends together until they click audibly into place.
Are the metal rings rust-proof?
Our metal Binding Rings feature a high-quality surface finish (usually nickel-plated), which offers good protection against normal humidity and ensures a beautiful shine.
Can I also use the rings for heavy materials such as leather samples?
Yes, the larger metal rings in particular are very sturdy. For very heavy materials, we recommend reinforcing the holes in the samples with eyelets to prevent tearing.
