Thanks to its special bias cut, the tape remains elastic enough to adapt to curves and bends without creasing. Technical details: Pre-folded for efficient assembly

Time is a crucial factor in production. That is why we supply our Bias Binding Tape pre-folded as standard. A tape with an open width of 40 mm is folded so precisely that it results in a finished width of approx. 20 mm.

  • Width (unfolded): 40 mm (ideal for 36 mm standard applications).
  • Width (folded): Allows for the neat finishing of a seam allowance of approx. 1 cm per side.
  • Material: High-quality cotton for optimum texture and tear resistance.
  • Packaging: Supplied as a 20-metre roll for easy handling on the sewing machine or in automatic machines.

Why is Bias Binding Tape cut diagonally?

Cutting the fabric at a 45-degree angle to the grain gives it natural stretch. This is the only way the Bias Binding Tape can drape around curves, such as necklines or rounded table corners, without forming unsightly creases.

What does ‘pre-folded’ mean in relation to binding tapes?

Pre-folded means that the outer edges of the tape have already been ironed inwards by machine. This saves a step in production: the fabric is simply placed between the layers and stitched down directly.

Is the Bias Binding Tape also available in lengths greater than 20 metres?
