Once inserted through a hole, the pin flips over and effectively prevents the material from being pulled back. How are metal split pins fitted correctly?
The metal split pin is crimped directly onto the end of the Round Elastics or string. To fit, the T-shaped split pin is inserted lengthways through the designated hole (e.g. in a folder). Once the split pin has passed through the opening, it turns sideways and acts as a mechanical stopper.
What surface finishes are available?
We stock metal split pins as standard in nickel-plated (silver-coloured) and brass-plated (gold-coloured). These finishes protect the material and ensure a professional appearance for your printed and promotional products.
Can metal split pins also be used for thick cords?
