Which magnets are right for your project?

Choosing the right type of magnet depends largely on the weight of the object to be held:

• Neodymium magnets (power solution): These offer the highest holding force in the smallest space. We use them in our Ring Binder Mechanisms and Lever Arch Mechanisms so that even thick stacks of operating instructions or documentation adhere securely to metallic surfaces.
• Ferrite magnets (standard solution): These have a lower holding force but are ideal for light-duty applications. Our information frames or simple Letter Clips use ferrite magnets, as in most cases only single sheets of paper need to be held in place.
• Adhesive magnets: For folder construction or craft projects, we stock self-adhesive neodymium Disc Magnets. Thanks to the pre-mounted adhesive film, they can be applied in a flash and provide an invisible, strong fastening.

How do I find out how much a magnetic product can hold?
The specific holding force is specified for most of the items in our shop. As a rule of thumb: Ferrite is sufficient for a few sheets; for anything heavy or bulky, you should choose clamping mechanisms with neodymium magnets.

Do the self-adhesive magnets stick to all surfaces?
The adhesive film is optimised for smooth surfaces such as cardboard, plastic or metal. Ensure that the surface is free of dust and grease to achieve maximum adhesive strength.

Can magnetic products be exchanged if I am not satisfied?
