Cover strips and Plastic Cover Strips: The neat finish for your binding

In post-press processing and when creating high-quality presentation materials, the first impression is crucial. Our Plastic Cover Strips (also known as cover rails) form the final element of a professional binding. They are simply slid over the combination of File Prongs and Cover Strips, completely concealing the mechanical components. The result is a clean, aesthetic look that gives your documents a structured and high-quality appearance in any folder or binder.

Technical details and system compatibility

For over 100 years, moog & langenscheidt has been developing solutions that impress with their precision fit and durability. Our cover strips are technically tailored to our product range:

• Ultra-slim design: With a height of just approx. 2.5 mm, the strips do not add bulk to the folder and allow for space-saving archiving.
• Optimal dimensions: An external width of approx. 15 mm perfectly covers our standard cover strips (12 mm wide).
• Standard lengths: Available in 210 mm or 297 mm (DIN A4) to seamlessly cover the entire height of the stapled documents.
• Safety: The rail acts as a locking mechanism that prevents the File Prongs from accidentally bending open, thereby stabilising the load distribution.

As a responsible manufacturer, we use environmentally friendly materials. Our Plastic Cover Strips are made from recyclable plastic, which can be returned to the recycling cycle after use. Thanks to our in-house production, in addition to the standard colours of black and white, we can also produce custom lengths and bespoke colours for your specific branding on request.
