They are particularly indispensable in the print finishing and packaging industries as closure magnets. They enable the elegant, almost silent opening and closing of high-quality boxes, presentation folders and exclusive mailings. Neodymium magnets: Maximum energy for the highest demands

For our Disc Magnets, we primarily rely on the material combination neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB). This alloy enables the production of what are currently the strongest permanent magnets in the world. Depending on the application, we offer different grades:

  • Magnetic performance: The classification typically ranges from N35 to N52. Whilst N52 offers the highest magnetic performance, N35-grade magnets are a cost-effective solution for standard applications.
  • Compact power: Thanks to the high energy density of neodymium magnets, you can achieve an impressive holding force even with very flat discs.

Self-adhesive Disc Magnets for easy installation

To make your production process as efficient as possible, we stock self-adhesive Disc Magnets. These are fitted with a high-quality adhesive film on one side. This allows them to be fixed directly onto paper, cardboard or plastic without the need for additional adhesive. This saves time during assembly and guarantees a clean finish for your projects.

What does the designation “N52” mean for neodymium magnets?
This number indicates the maximum energy product. The higher the number, the stronger the magnet for the same volume. N52 magnets are therefore the most powerful variants in our range.

How do I use self-adhesive magnets in pairs?
For a folder closure, you will usually need two magnets that attract each other. When ordering, ensure you select “paired” magnetisation (north and south poles on the adhesive side) so that the closures adhere perfectly to one another.

Are Disc Magnets fragile?
Yes, neodymium magnets are sintered materials and are therefore brittle. If they collide with each other without being cushioned, they can shatter. We therefore recommend careful handling and – for closure solutions – embedding or laminating them under paper.
